Disney Channel 1990s Favs “Under The Umbrella Tree”, “Danger Bay” Streaming Free

If you grew up in the 1990s, like I did, and the names “Doc” Roberts and Iggy the Iguana ring a bell, I’ve good news for you. Classic Disney Channel series Danger Bay and Under the Umbrella Tree are both available to stream, legally, on YouTube.

A variety of Canadian television industry organizations created Encore+, a YouTube channel with vintage gems like these two Disney Channel favourites.

Jazz singer Holly Larocque starred in Under the Umbrella Tree with her roommates Iggy the Iguana, Jay Bluejay, and Gloria Gopher. It ran on The Disney Channel from 1990 to 1997. Danger Bay follows the adventures of a marine veterinarian and his children, as they stumble upon environmental issues in the wilderness near the Vancouver Aquarium. While the first run lasted from 1985 to 1990, the series continued in repeats on Disney until 1996.

Also on the channel is The Doodlebops, which aired in the 2000s on Disney Channel.

The entire series of Danger Bay is available for streaming now, while new episodes of Under the Umbrella Tree are being added weekly. The channel also has French dubs of both select episodes, and  Big Wolf on Campus, which aired on Fox Family.
