WDW Dining Review: Enzo’s Hideaway (Disney Springs)
Whenever I visit Walt Disney World, I aim to dine at one or more new places that I had never tried before. When I went back in March (right before the parks were closed), one of the new places I ate at was Enzo’s Hideaway Tunnel Bar. Located at Disney Springs, it is run by the Patina Group. It is a combination Italian Restaurant and Speakeasy, and a sister restaurant to Maria & Enzo’s, located right next door.
The Speakeasy theme to Enzo’s Hideaway lends well to the layout and decor of the place. As tale has it, this former prohibition-era speakeasy was taken over and made into a restaurant and bar by a Italian-immigrant family who settled on The Landing at Disney Springs. The entrance to the restaurant is a steel door, located in an alcove off an outdoor patio/ dining area. The restaurant then opens up and continues underneath of the walkway above and connecting itself to Maria & Enzo’s. Both locations serve delicious food. In fact, Enzo’s Hideaway won the 2019 “Best Italian Restaurant in Central Florida” Critic’s Pick Award by Orlando Magazine.
While we ended up eating outside because of the beautiful weather, I loved walking through the inside of the place. The cured meats in this restaurant are made by hand, showcased with amazing cheeses in these huge display refrigerators. The old time, speakeasy feel of this place is top notch.
For this meal, my friends Emily, Margaret, and Matt joined me on the last day of their trip. We swung by for lunch, right when they opened. Here is a look at the menu.
I decided to start off the meal with the Cranberry Limeade Mocktail. It was very refreshing.
From the”Piccoli Piatti” part of the menu, Emily and I both got the Caeser Salad, while Margaret and Matt shared the Burrata Caprese. I really enjoyed the salad, and the crispy prosciutto kicked it to the next level. I could have eaten pounds of that delicacy. I was able to get a taste of the mozzarella in the other dish, and it was fresh and creamy. I would recommend both dishes.
From the “Secondi” portion of the menu, we ordered the Buscatini Bolognese and the Penne Rigati. Both of these pasta dishes are made with fresh, hand-made pasta and it showed. They were great. I mainly had from the penne dish, but did get to try the other dish. I could see why Enzo’s Hideaway won that award last year.
Overall, I would definitely recommend Enzo’s Hideaway for dining the next time you are visiting Disney Springs. It’s in a central location on The Landing, just a bit of a walk from the Orange Garage and right over the bridge from Planet Hollywood. Reservations are highly recommended, and they do accept some Disney Dining Plans.
Have you dined at Enzo’s Hideaway? How was your experience? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
