Pop! Ride Review: Mad Hatter at Mad Tea Party (Target Exclusive)

I am wishing you all a Merry Unbirthday today… as it is my actual birthday. Moreover, it’s my 40th birthday. So, in celebration of today, I take a look at one of my favorite Pop! Vinyl releases in 2020. Released by Target to celebrate the 65th Anniversary of Disneyland, here is the Mad Hatter at Mad Tea Party Attraction.

 

 

This attraction, named “Mad Tea Party” in both Fantasylands here in the US, was an opening day attraction at both Disneyland and the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. The Mad Hatter Pop! Ride of this attraction is the third version made by Funko, following the Disney Parks Exclusive Alice and the WonderCon 2020 Exclusive (and very sought after) Cheshire Cat. I previously reviewed Alice, but I still have not located the Cheshire Cat version.

 

I am really liking these Disney Parks Pop! Rides. They not only remind me of childhood memories growing up, but also successfully capture the quirkiness of the rides and characters. In this case, the fact that the tea is spilling out of the teapot and teacup. It’s a fun detail.

 

While this Pop! Ride is no longer available from Target (unless you can find it randomly on a shelf… but I doubt it), your best bet is eBay or other secondary market sites if you’d like to add this piece to your collection.
