LEGO Says “No” To Grunkle Stan, Pandora
We won’t be seeing Lego sets of the Mystery Shack from Gravity Falls, or the illuminated world of Pandora, from James Cameron’s Avatar. While both sets received 10,000 votes of support on the Lego Ideas platform, neither was chosen as the winner. Judges instead chose a motorized lighthouse, from the Third 2020 Review.
The announcement was made June 28.
Fear not, Disney fans, as back in May, another group of Lego Ideas moved on to the next round.
Two sets based on Disney movies, and four based on 20th Century Studios projects made the cut for the First 2021 Review. It’s bad odds, though, as a “mind-boggling” 57 ideas received enough votes to qualify.
The Princess Bride, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The X-Files, The Simpsons, and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs are among the pending projects.

Interestingly, these entries include a revamped model of the car from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, which had previously qualified, but not received LEGO’s coveted go-ahead.
