Disney Family Museum to announce new exhibition Saturday, at D23
What’s the next major exhibition at The Walt Disney Family Museum? Visitors to D23 will be the first to learn, this Saturday at the San Francisco institution’s booth. They’re located in Hall C, “next to the Walt Disney Hometown Museum and Disney’s Fairytale Weddings & Honeymoons.”
Here’s what the museum just announced:
Join us at D23 2024 to get the very first look at our new book, Walt Disney Treasures: Personal Art and Artifacts from The Walt Disney Family Museum and sign up for pre-order notifications to receive a collectible Treasure Card—a unique card will be available each day of the event. Also, stop by the museum’s booth to learn about our next original special exhibition—which will be announced at D23 2024 on Saturday—and chat with museum staff about upcoming virtual and in-person programs, membership offerings, private event and wedding venue rental opportunities, and shop our merchandise featuring the earliest known drawing of Mickey Mouse.Attend our live presentation on Friday, August 9, at 6:15pm on the Backlot Stage where WDFM Executive Director Kirsten Komoroske and Content and Research Manager Bri Bertolaccini will provide an in-depth look at how more than 250 of Walt and his family’s most treasured objects—some never-before-seen by the public—were selected for Walt Disney Treasures. Learn about private heirlooms that were generously contributed by Walt’s grandchildren and discover the fascinating stories behind each artifact that chronicle Walt’s multifaceted life story and legacy. Program attendees will receive a full limited-edition set of Treasure Cards.
