Daredevil Costumes, Merc M&Ms Surprise at Toronto Convention

Toronto Comicon opens this Friday, and it has two surprise Marvel elements.

Convention organizer Informa has two annual events in Canada’s largest city, the other being Fan Expo Canada at the end of the summer. Generally, the spring event is known more for the retail and celebrity end of things, with corporate booths reserved for Fan Expo.

Marvel Television is delightfully expanding, and will be displaying costumes from season two of Daredevil: Born Again at Toronto Comicon. The new season streams March 24 on Disney+.

Guests will also be able to get pics with the M&Ms mascot, Red, as Deadpool. It’s “The Merc with the Mouth” meets “melts in your mouth, not in your hands.”

According to a January press release, the year-long partnership will see limited edition M&M’s X Marvel packs hit store shelves in the US in March, with the broader promotion in over 65 markets worldwide.

Outside of the Disney bubble, Retrokid’s booth will feature meet and greets with Scott Yaphe, who hosted YTV game show Uh Oh! as Wink Yahoo. The series has legendary status among Canadian millennials, he’s like our Marc Summers. Also making appearances is Franklin the Turtle.
