Disney X Opening Ceremony – Launch of the True Original Campaign

Opening Ceremony presented its Spring 2018 runway show, entitled “The Happiest Show on Earth,” on the iconic grounds of Disneyland in Anaheim, California, which was inspired by Mickey Mouse, the True Original who celebrates his ninetieth anniversary this year.

The collaboration served as the launch of “Mickey the True Original”—a global celebration of Mickey’s heritage, personality, and status as a pop-culture icon. The campaign will come to life through fashion collaborations with other true original brands, as well as engaging content and events that embrace Mickey’s impact on the past, present and future. The event also marked the first fashion show at Disneyland in over 40 years.

Celebrity guests at the event included Chance the Rapper, Diplo, Maya Rudolph, Justine Skye, Chloe X Halle, Lucky Blue Smith, Piper Blue Smith, Sabrina Carpenter, Tallulah Willis and more!

Select items from the Mickey collaboration are now available for sale at ShopDisney.com, OpeningCeremony.com and Opening Ceremony stores, while the remaining ready-to-wear looks will hit stores in November.
