No More Blue Sky: Villains Land Coming to Magic Kingdom

Back at D23 Expo 2022, Josh D’Amaro teased a number of “blue sky” ideas for the theme parks, with no real announcements. Among the concepts for beyond Big Thunder Mountain:

This is not planned anytime soon. But it’s something we know [our fans] talk about, and it’s always in the back of our minds – an area overrun by villains.

The company has taken this blue sky down to earth, announcing at plans D23 2024: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. Two major attractions will be met by dining and shopping.
