Arepas, Buñuelos, Gumbo Latest Recipies on Disney Up Disney Web Series

Chef Martyn Odell, better known as The Lagom Chef, is back on the Disney UK YouTube channel. Yesterday’s episode saw him take on arepas and buñuelos from Encanto, a week after the gumbo from The Princess and the Frog.

While I’m anything but a gourmand, it remains a creative way to extend the passion for favourite Disney feature films.

Odell meets up with Columbian chef and restauranteur Miller Prada, to get advice on what to expect while making the dishes. He also speaks with Juan Rendon, who was a member of Disney’s Columbian Cultural Council for Encanto.

The late chef Leah Chase was the inspiration for Tiana in The Princess and the Frog, so Odell speaks with her daughter Stella Reese Chase, and chef Micaiah Thomas from Creole restaurant Young Nola.

Upcoming episodes are a “bowl of worms” from Zootopia 2 (July 5), bao buns from Turning Red (July 12), and shawarma from The Avengers (July 19).
