Preferred Parking Being Tested At Walt Disney World
Details are coming out that Walt Disney World are testing a new Preferred Parking option at Magic Kingdom and Epcot, which has already been implemented at Universal and Sea World. A Disney spokeswoman confirmed Tuesday that for $15, guest will be will be allowed to pull into designed areas of their current parking lots. This is in addition to the already existing parking fee, which is $20. So preferred parking will cost $35.
Over at the Magic Kingdom, the Jafar zone is the preferred area, while in Epcot, the Amaze area will be the new preferred parking section. Both preferred areas will only get guests slightly closer to the park entrance and still have to go through the transportation options either by foot, monorail, boat or tram.
Disney aren’t doing this test at any of the other sites like Animal Kingdom or Hollywood Studios just yet. Also guests staying on site, will have to also have to pay the $15 fee if they want to use it as well, as that isn’t included in the parking pass when staying on site.
The test won’t be affecting the handicapped parking slots at either of the two parks.
What do you think of Preferred Parking? Will you use it?
