Disney Magic Kingdoms Gets an Incredibles Update!

There has been talk about it for a couple of weeks now, but today the Disney Magic Kingdoms app officially updated with the addition of The Incredibles. With the addition of the six new characters (Mr. Incredible, Mrs. Incredible, Dash, Violet, Syndrome, and Frozone), attractions, decorations, and concessions from that property, and more, have been added to the game. Here is a brief rundown.

1. Characters

Currently, all of the characters are labeled “Coming Soon”.

2. Attractions

In addition to a slew of attractions dedicated to The Incredibles, the update also brought with it two attractions from Aladdin, and Jet Packs… which looks to be Tomorrowland inspired, possibly involving Tron.

3. Concessions

Only one new concession has been added: Frozone’s Sno-Cone. Based on an online contest Disney Magic Kingdoms was holding, I would expect this concession to be Gems Only, similar to Frozone.

4. Decorations

A couple of Tron decorations, and a few from The Incredibles, have been added to the update.

In addition to the updates above, it looks like some of the characters (that I have unlocked so far) have either gotten actions reduced in time or actions added. I am assuming this is for an upcoming event featuring the new additions. Here are the ones I have seen so far:

Bo Peep: Sing Along action lowered to 3 minutes

Buzz Lightyear: Contact Star Command lowered to 8 minutes

Daisy: Incredible Diner Promotion! added (8 minutes)

Goofy: Incredible Sandwich added (8 minutes)

Jessie: Incredible Yodel added (6 minutes)

Mike W.: Incredible Comedian added (3 minutes)

Minnie: Tidy the Garden lowered to 8 minutes

I have seen the question of when The Incredibles content will go live. I am not 100% sure, but since Father’s Day is this coming Sunday here in the US, I will venture a guess that it will tie into that holiday. However, I guess we will see. Until then, I hope you are enjoying Disney Magic Kingdoms as much as I am.

UPDATE: Here is a rundown of a livestream the development team did (which I missed) giving better details on the SPECIAL EVENT that will be happening. I guess this 30 day event will have special ways of unlocking these characters, which will go away after the event.

Oh… one other thing… what is this??? We got a movie theater update on Main Street. Perhaps something similar to the El Capitan Theatre in Disney Infinity 3.0? I guess we will find out in due time.
