Guy Ritchie Set To Direct Live Action Version Of Aladdin
Disney continue the trend of making live action versions of their animated classics and now Aladdin is set to return to our screens, with John August writing the script and it is set to include many of the musical elements from the original movie.
Guy Ritchie is in negotiations to direct the movie, who previously made the Man of U.N.C.L.E, Snatch and the most recent Sherlock Holmes movies with Robert Downey Jr.
The movie will also be produced by Dan Lin and his Lin Pictures banner, which will also see Jonathan Eirich as the executive producer.
This follows the success of live-action versions Cinderella and The Jungle Book, and with Mary Poppins, The Lion King and Mulan also set to come out soon. No details have yet been revealed as to when Aladdin will be released.
