Thor: Ragnarok Marvel Collector Corp Review

The latest Marvel Collector Corp subscription box has a Thor: Ragnarok theme, to tie in with the release of the movie.

Here is a closer look at the contents of this box:

Usually the Marvel boxes contain a T-Shirt, which is my most used item and my favourite item out of a box, unfortunately, this box contains a hat, which while it was big enough for my big head and very soft on my skin (some hats can be very rough!), its not really a hat I can see myself wearing.

Getting two Pop Vinyls in this box is a real plus, especially getting Thor and Loki (I’d assume Hulk will be in the next box, since that’s Hulk themed) and I really like the design of both of these Pops.  For Pop Vinyl collectors, these make it worthwhile alone.

As per usual, we get a small pin, featuring Hela.  A nice design and I’m glad they went with a comic book look rather than a Funko style design.

This is where the box starts to feel like its been filled out with dollar store products, with a Fidget Spinner, a pack of playing cards (I don’t think I’ve actually used real cards since I was a kid playing with my grandparents on holiday) and some magnets.

Overall:  The Thor Ragnarok box is a mixed bag, there are two great Pop Vinyls in here, both Loki and Thor make this box worthwhile, but I can’t help feel a little underwhelmed with the other contents, I love getting the T-Shirt and comic book, so not having them instantly set this book back in my opinion.  The Fidget spinner just feels very forced and the trend of the year, with the majority of these not doubt ending up in the trash or in charity shops.
