More Details On The Design Process Of Disney Infinity 3.0
As part of Disney Infinity 3.0’s launch with Gameinformer, they have released a new video featuring Jeff Bunker where he gives us a behind the scenes look at the how the team went about designing the figures and even showed off some of the gameplay footage of the Millennium Falcon and X-Wing in action during a space flight scene, which look very different to anything we have seen in Infinity before.
Here are a few notes from the video:
- A Short tour of Avalanche.
- There was some concept art shown which include Pocahontas, Beast, Aurora & many others.
- Star Wars was always in the long term play but needed time for Disney to work out a plan for Star Wars first.
- They noticed how similar the Infinity style looks very similar to Clone Wars.
- The team have been working very closely with Lucasfilm.
- They had some safety issues with characters like Darth Mauls horns.
- They showed some gameplay footage of the space flights which include Millennium Falcon and X-Wing, which looks more like a traditional Star Wars game.
- Lucasfilm wanted Han Solo to have a scar on his figure.
- They brought a 3D printer to build early versions of the figures.
- The team feel that the whole process is improving each year and they would love to redo the original figures.
