Darth Vader PS4 Controller Being Released Separately Soon

Sony have announced that they will be releasing a Darth Vader PS4 Dual-Shock 4 wireless controller next week to tie in with the release of Star Wars Battlefront.  It will be out in the US on the 13th November, however no price has been confirmed yet.

The controller was previously announced as an exclusive to a bundle pack featuring a special PS4, but is now available to everyone.

The Darth Vader edition DualShock 4 is inspired by Darth Vader’s suit and features the repeated Star Wars logo on the DualShock 4’s touchpad.

  • Combining classic controls with innovative new ways to play, the DualShock 4 Wireless Controller is an evolutionary controller for a new era of gaming.
  • The feel, shape, and sensitivity of the dual analogue sticks and trigger buttons have been improved to provide a greater sense of control, no matter what you play.
  • The new multi-touch and clickable touch pad on the face of the DualShock 4 Wireless Controller opens up worlds of new gameplay possibilities for both newcomers and veteran gamers.
  • The three LEDs inside the light bar can generate a rainbow of colours, that combine with the PlayStation Camera, to create immersive gaming experiences. It also allows for easy player identification and screen adjustment when playing with friends in the same room.
  • The DualShock 4 Wireless Controller features a built-in speaker and stereo headset jack, putting several new audio options in the player’s hands.
  • The addition of the Share button makes utilizing the social capabilities of the PlayStation 4 as easy as the push of a button. Upload gameplay videos and screenshots of your greatest accomplishments or live-stream your gameplay sessions through popular Internet streaming services, all without disturbing the game in progress.
  • Multiple vibration motors give games a greater degree of expression and heighten the sense of immersion for players.
  • The DualShock 4 Wireless Controller can be easily be recharged by plugging it into your PlayStation 4 system, even when on standby, or with any standard charger with a micro-USB port.
