Lego Star Wars: Small Scenes From a Big Galaxy Art Book Review
I have loved Star Wars and Lego bricks since I was a little kid. Some of my first Lego build kits were Star Wars. So, obviously, when I was invited to special Lego event down in NYC back at the end of October, I went. While it was a great time, I also got some cool giveaways, including a copy of the newly released Lego Star Wars: Small Scenes From a Big Galaxy. This art book showcases the wonderful photographs of Vesa Lehtimaki, who took his love of Lego Star Wars and put it in front of a camera.
Throughout the book, scattered among pictures set on Hoth, Tatooine, and Endor, Lehtimaki gives tips and hints on how he achieved certain shots… from fabricating special display pieces to submerging the shot into a fishtank.
My favorite shots in the book are the Hoth shots, especially the shots with a Norwegian snowball lantern, which was created special for the shots.
I could probably go on and on about this book and share all of the pictures in it, but I would advise you all to, instead, go out and buy the book. It is not only a beautiful art book, but will also ramp up your excitement for the upcoming release of The Force Awakens.
