Early Details On Star Wars: The Force Awakens Home Video Release

While Star Wars: The Force Awakens is still breaking records in cinemas, Director J.J Abrams has recently spoken to Entertainment Weekly at the Television Critics Association’s press tour in Beverly Hills on Saturday, about the upcoming home video release and confirmed:

There will be deleted scenes, but not an extended version… I don’t know what the longest cut was. Probably, if it were with credits, close to two hours and 50 minutes was the first cut.

While the theatrical release was 2 hours and 16 minutes, the longest version was close to 2 hours and 50 minutes. Some of the deleted scenes were used in the trailers.
