Zootopia Tops The Box Office
Disney’s latest animated classic “Zootopia”, starring Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman, brought in an estimated $70 million at the US box office over 3 days, according to studio estimates.
The movie pulled in $19.5 million on Friday at its 3,827 locations and should these estimates be true, it will set a new record for non-Pixar animated movies. Currently Big Hero 6 holds a record of $56 million. The movie has still yet to launch in other regions but has already launched in Spain, Belgium and France and has brought in $93.2 million in other territories for a worldwide total of $112.7 million already.
Marvel’s Deadpool is continuing to bring in the money for Fox, with an estimated $16 million.
