Captain Britain Heading To TV?!

According to Ciara McAvoy, a movie poster artist and producer, a TV series based on one of Marvel Comic’s lesser heroes, Captain Britain, is currently in the works. McAvoy took to twitter to tease and announce her involvement in the unannounced series.

Originally posted on March 19, she responded a few days later saying that, “I can’t reveal anything yet but hopefully I’ll be able to soon. Waiting for the go ahead from the co-producer.” Although Marvel has yet to confirm anything, McAvoy clarified that an official announcement could come “either early 2017 or late 2016.”

Captain Britain, Brian Braddock for those unfamiliar, is a hero with ties to the UK and Merlyn, the supposed wizard of Arthurian Lore. His similarity to Captain America is obvious yet instead of Super-Serum, this Captain’s abilities are tied to magic [he can also fly]. With Doctor Strange bringing the realm of mysticism into the MCU this fall, it is not surprising that others would come into the fray. And with his twin Betsy Braddock (Psylocke) coming to theaters this May, it is only fitting to bring her brother over to the MCU.
