Star Wars Battlefront Sequel Confirmed

EA announced its financial results for the year and have confirmed that a sequel to Star Wars Battlefront will be released next year and will be followed in 2018 with an untitled game which is being created by Visceral and Motive.

EA’s chief financial officer Blake Jorgensen, who offered the following comment to investors: ‘Next year we will see Star Wars Battlefront back with bigger and better worlds because we now have the new movies to work off of, not just the historical movies that we used before.’  This means we are very likely to see new content based on new movies like the Force Awakens & Rogue One.

They continued to say that they will be releasing at least one new Star Wars game per year “over the next 3 to 4 years.”   This also ties in with the recent announcement of EA working with Respawn on another Star Wars game and added “They’re very excited about that.” EA believes Respawn could “add a huge amount” to a new Star Wars game.

EA also said that Star Wars Battlefront topped over 14 million.
