Pop Countdown #9: Alice Through The Looking Glass
To commemorate the release of Disney’s highly anticipated sequel of Alice in Wonderland, Alice Through The Looking Glass is our theme this week! The pops for the first movie that came out this year are not eligible for this countdown, just ones specifically allocated for the sequel. Maybe the original movie pops will be used for a future countdown!
But, before I dive right in, I wanted to tell you guys where to find me and vote on social media!

6. Iracebeth
To say that I’m shocked to find Iracebeth at the bottom of this countdown would be the understatement of the year! I thought this would be number one, though I understand most of your guys’ reasoning. Mike Warren wrote, “I place this one last because I think the one from the first movie’s line is a lot better,” and a lot of you guys echoed his sentiments. To be fair, Mike also wrote that they’re all great so there is not worst one. I am still a little surprised just because of how great the sculpt on this pop is, but I do agree that the first Queen of Hearts pop was better!
5. McTwisp
Next on the list, we have everyone’s favorite white rabbit, McTwisp. I absolutely love the detail of him holding the pocketwatch chain and mini clock. Great touch. Mike Warren said, “looks fantastic and he wasn’t in the first line which makes him a great addition.” I have to agree. He is a pretty essential character, so he had to be in pop form!
4. Time
Next we have Time, a new edition to the story in this sequel. I will start by saying that the front of this pop does not do it enough justice. The detailing on the back of his head, with gears and cranks all in gold, is just amazing. Disfan49 wrote, “I absolutely LOVE this design” and voted Time his/her favorite one! I think if everyone knew about the detail on the back, he’d be higher!
3. Alice Kingsleigh
The titular character takes the third spot this week. With a pop in a dress preceding this design, I definitely like the change of the outfit. With a lot of people calling this design “standard” or “simple”, Alice remains some people’s favorite pop of the lot, with Mike Warren calling it “the only one to actually improve from the first line.” I’m sure this isn’t the last Alice we’ll see, but it is a cool one!
2. Chessur
The cuteness factor often prevails. Chessur comes in at number two. In my personal opinion, I prefer the first line’s Cheshire Cat pop, but I can’t deny how cute he looks perched upon his tail. This was a great detail on Funko’s part and an awesome way for them to show off the action posing they’ve been working on!
1. Mad Hatter
Alas, Johnny Depp captures the hearts of Disney fans again. He simply can not be cought! He’s the best. This pop has awesome detailing to it – the hair is textured, the hat is perfect, and his eyebrows are amazing. While the first line’s pop is outstanding too, I think he is the fan favorite character of these movies and for that reason, takes this poll! Or, are we all just mad here? Lol
There we have it! Mad Hatter is #1! By far the most requested addition to the line is Anne Hathaway’s White Queen. I have absolutely no idea why that character was not included in either line, but was present in the mystery mini series. It’s a head scratcher. Regardless, let’s buy these all up so Funko makes another wave and included her, with a two pack Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, k? K!
Vote below and on my social media channels for next time’s theme: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! I’m going to cram both waves into one countdown to celebrate the new movie! So we have Donatello, Leonardo, Raphael, Michael-Angelo, Shredder, Splinter, April, Rocksteady, Bebop, and the Foot Soldier. Vote away, my friends!
