Star Wars Battlefront Rogue One Scarif Out Now For Season Pass Holders

Today, Star Wars Battlefront released two whole new experiences for players to enjoy as they get ready to watch the upcoming film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The first experience is the fourth and final expansion pack to Star Wars Battlefront for all Season Pass owners*.

In Star Wars Battlefront Rogue One: Scarif, players can experience all-new epic battles and content inspired by the movie, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Players will be able to touch down from space onto the planet of Scarif and fight across the beaches and jungle, with the defiant Jyn Erso and the cruel but brilliant director of Advanced Weapons Research, Orson Krennic, as two new playable heroes. Players can also blast opponents in a brand new multi-stage Infiltration mode, try out the new A180 and DT-29 blasters and the Sonic Imploder star card.

Also available today, is the Star Wars Battlefront Rogue One: X-wing VR Mission, available as a free download* for those that own Star Wars Battlefront on PlayStation 4, a PlayStation VR and PlayStation camera. In this mission, players can put themselves in the cockpit of an X-wing and live out one of their most dreamt about Star Wars fantasies – dogfighting in the far reaches of space.
Our Take:

I’ve spent the past couple of hours playing the new expansion pack and have been enjoying the new maps, it feels like you’ve been dropped on a tropical Mexican beach, just with large AT-AT’s in the background!

Having the new content out a couple of weeks ahead of the movie coming out is a nice touch, however now I want to pick up a PSVR unit to play the new VR mission.

I’ll be sharing some let’s plays and my review of the new expansion pack later this week.
