Star Wars Rogue One Heading To The Chinese Box Office In 2017

Disney have announced that their newest Star Wars movie, Rogue One, will be released in China on January 6th 2017.  Similar to how “The Force Awakens” kicked off the 2016 season in China, which brought in over $125 million at the box office in China alone.

The movie opens in the US on December 16th and stars Felicity Jones and Diego Luna, as they bring together a group of unlikely heroes to steal the plans to the Death Star.

China is now the world’s second biggest box-office territory and has become vital for Disney’s movies, as more people go to see movies in cinemas there, than in the US.
