Disney Sign Deal With Snapchat For Exclusive Content

This week it was announced that Disney will be creating some shows for Snapchat, however no details were announced about the financial terms were not disclosed.  Disney will be in control of the advertising for shows that are produced.

Disney is trying to reach a younger audience, who use Snapchat, rather than traditional media.   The deal will kick off on January 3rd 2017 with a new recap series called “Watch Party: The Bachelor”.   There will be more shows from Disney-ABC properties coming to Snapchat later on.

“Earlier this year, we worked closely with Snap on a very successful The Oscars Live Story and we look forward to building on that relationship and providing Snapchat’s mobile-centric users with a unique, immersive experience around our shows and brands,” Disney-ABC Television executive John Frelinghuysen said in a statement.
