EA Reveal More Details On The New Star Wars Battlefront Video Game

Electronic Arts held a conference call this week, where CEO Andrew Wilson shared some information about the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront sequel.  The new game is being created by a collaborative effort between three studios: DICE, Criterion, and Motive.

The new game will be coming in the Holiday season of 2017, and that it will cover multiple eras of Star Wars and feature playable heroes from those eras, which means we could see characters from the original trilogy like Darth Vader, some from the Clone Wars like General Grievous and the CEO directly mentioned The Force Awakens and Rogue One.   EA have also acknowledged that the original game was to simple, so they have stated that for the sequel, players can expect far more depth and progression when it comes to the game’s multiplayer modes.

They’ve also confirmed that there will be a single player campaign mode.  Meaning the new Star Wars sequel is building on the success of the first game, while fixing some of the major issues.

During the event, it was also confirmed that all the developers attentions are now on the new game, meaning there won’t be any more updates to Star Wars Battlefront, such as the Skermish mode.

Expect to learn more about the new Star Wars Battlefront game later this year.
