Has The Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite Roster Leaked?

It looks like there might not be any X-Men characters coming to Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite according to a roster leak via NeoGaf, who has shared details in the past on the game.

There will apparently be 28 characters available at launch, which breaks it down to 14 from the Marvel side and 14 from the Capcom side.  There will be an additional six characters added to the game via DLC post-launch, which will include Venom.

Here’s the rumoured Marvel vs Capcom Infinite roster:

Marvel characters

  • Ant-Man
  • Captain America
  • Captain Marvel
  • Doctor Strange
  • Gamora
  • Hawkeye
  • Hulk
  • Iron Man
  • Nova
  • Rocket Raccoon / Groot
  • Spider-Man
  • Thanos
  • Thor
  • Ultron

Capcom characters

  • Arthur
  • Chris
  • Chun-Li
  • Dante
  • Firebrand
  • Jedah
  • Monster Hunter
  • Morrgian
  • Nemesis
  • Ryu
  • Spencer
  • Strider Hiryu
  • X
  • Unknown character (predicted to be Frank West)

Its worth noting that this is merely a rumour and even if it’s true, X-Men characters like Wolverine could be added via DLC.  And more additional characters could be added in future updates, especially as Capcom have released additional seasons of content for Street Fighter V, as game companies are trying to add additional content to turn games not services rather than short experiences.

The Marvel side of the roster is much more focused on characters known more from the movies, especially with some of costumes like Gladiator Hulk and Warrior Thor, which are similar to the upcoming Thor Ragnarok.

The game is set to be released on Xbox One and PS4 on September 19th 2017.
