Pinball FX3 Launches Today On Xbox One, PS4 & PC

Today sees the launch of Pinball FX3 on Xbox One, PS4, Windows 10 and Steam, featuring many Star Wars and Marvel themed tables.  Pinball FX3 is a free platform download. You can pick and choose what games you want to buy inside of the platform. Pinball FX3 comes with Sorcerer’s Lair, free for all users.

Pinball FX3 is a massive game packed full of new features designed to turn pinball into a true community experience. Built around multiplayer-matchups, user-generated tournaments and league play, Pinball FX3 is now so much more than just leaderboard rankings – it elevates the competitive pinball spirit that has thrived since the early days of pinball more than a century ago.

All the tables have received graphics updates including real-time lighting and shadow projection and all the tables feature challenging new game modes, table upgrades and power-ups, unlockable bonus items and more!

And for anyone who has purchased any tables in Zen Pinball 2, these can be played on Pinball FX 3 at no extra charge.   These can be brought into the new game by using the “Import” option on the main menu.

There are also some bundles available, one featuring all the Star Wars tables from previous releases and two Marvel bundles.

My Take:  It’s great to see Zen Studios supporting existing content that they’ve created and allowing previous purchases to be transferred over.  I’m looking forward to playing through my existing Marvel and Star Wars tables to see what has been improved and the new FX 3 bundles do look appealing since I missed out on some of the earlier tables.  I’m also excited to see what the new Universal tables including Back to the Future look like as I’d love to see some new tables coming soon based on upcoming movies like “The Last Jedi” and “Black Panther”.
