Lego Star Wars 2017 Advent Calendar Recap
This year for the holidays, I celebrated the countdown to Christmas with two Advent Calendars. I’m recapping the Lego Star Wars 2017 Advent Calendar here, and over at PopVinyls.com I check out the Freddy Funko Pint Size Heroes 2017 Advent Calendar. For the Lego Star Wars calendar, each of the 24 days had either a Minifigure, and build, or a micro build, all of which included basic instructions for assembly. Let’s check them out.

Overall, I don’t do these Lego Star Wars Advent Calendars every year, but I don’t feel this was a strong showing. Out of the 24 days, we got 8 Minifigs, 4 builds, and 12 micro builds. Too many micro builds to be honest. I would have loved to have also seen more diversity in the assortment, not mainly focused on Star Wars Rebels, Rogue One, and The Force Awakens. A Jedi character would have been awesome, or a larger build that took up two days.
Still, I did get this on sale online in a Black Friday sale, so I was not out the full retail cost. Also, a few of the Minifigs like Sabine, the First order Snowtrooper with his Snowblower, Santa BB-8 are fun to add to my Lego collection, with the later two going directly into the Christmas display stuff.
Did you pick up any of this year’s Advent Calendars? If so, what are your thoughts on it? Let me know in the comments below.
