Marvel Announce “A Fresh Start”
Marvel have announced that their comic book series will be getting a “Fresh Start” in May, in their press release, they’ve said it will include:
- New Creative Teams
- New Series
- New Directions
- New Beginnings

More details will be announced soon about specific comics and they released a teaser trailer for this “Fresh Start”.
In the video Marvel Comics editor-in-chief, CB Cebulski says “I can say, walking through these halls, I’ve never seen more enthusiasm and more excitement for where Marvel Comics is going this year, Not since Marvel NOW! Have we had such an overarching, line-wide change of talent on the Marvel Comics line.”
With Marvel’s chief creative officer, Joe Quesada saying “New fresh ideas, new fresh creators, really are taking that perspective, which is, ‘If you haven’t read a comic before, if you’re an old lapse fan and you want to come back, its the perfect opportunity to do it,’ because, as I say, they start and start and their great jumping on points.”

Marvel has done too many “fresh starts.” They do one, it seems, every year. I got into one a few years ago and was thoroughly confused.
I think what Marvel should do is wipe out everything, everything in continuity, and just build an entire continuity around the MCU, like Star Wars has done. It would tie everything together.
