Three Muppet Babies Books Coming In September

While the Muppet Babies reboot has just premiered, the first three books based on the series won’t be released for six more months. Amazon has just listed three Muppet Babies book titles with limited details, to be published by Little Golden Books (September 4), Random House (September 4), and Joe Books (September 11).

Since March, Disney Junior has shown a short-form series with the same name.

There’s no official description yet for this title, but it’s ultimately only 14 pages. A 1986 book of the same name saw Kermit and friends imagining what they could make a cardboard box into.

Author Kristen L. Depken is prolific in kids lit, having written 150 titles based on licensed characters in the last 10 years. She’s worked with a few Disney character properties already, including Tangled, Toy Story, Cars, and Finding Dory.

A Kindle edition will also be available.

Disney Muppet Babies: How Kermit Got His Groove Cinestory Comic

Take a few hundred stills from a film or television show, convert the dialogue into voice bubbles, and lay the images out like a comic book: you’ve got a Cinestory Comic. They’re surprisingly effective, and they show off the quality of art in Disney productions. Previous Cinestory Comics range from Snow White to Coco, and from Descendants: Wicked World to an episode of Big Hero 6: The Series.
