Bohemian Rhapsody Defeats Disney’s Nutcracker At The Box Office
The Box Office weekend results have been announced and Fox topped the charts with its Queen biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody, beating out Disney’s newest live action movie, Nutcracker And the Four Realms.
Comscore’s Senior Media Analyst Paul Dergarabedian commented, “Fox’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” rocks the global box office with a $122.5 million weekend debut to take the top spot at the box office in North America and around the world for a global cume to date of $141.7 million.”
Disney’s new live action movie has certainly underperformed, only bringing in under half of it’s budget, which was $125 million. Though the movie did have a better opening weekend than previously under-performing movies like Wrinkle In Time or Tomorrowland. Marvel’s Venom continues to bring in money for Sony, as does Fox’s The Hate U Give.
