Sony Date Two New Marvel Spider-Man Themed Movies

Following the massive success of Venom and the upcoming animated movie, Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse set to hit cinemas next month, Sony Picture have announced two new dates for upcoming Marvel movies.

One Marvel movie is set to hit cinemas on July 10th 2020 and another untitled Marvel movie is due to be released on October 2nd.

No specific details were announced regarding what these movies could be, but the July movie is expected to be based on Spider-Man’s vampire villain, Morbius, starring Jared Leto. The other date is also expected to be a sequel to Venom, which was teased at the end of the Venom movie.

While many fans would love the Spider-Man rights to return to Marvel, the success of Venom will no doubt push those plans back.
