Pop! Review: Wrinkle in Time 3pk (B&N Exclusive)

Today, I want to take a look at the three Pop! Vinyls that were released last year in conjunction with the Disney movie Wrinkle in Time, which starred Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, and Mindy Kaling as three witches named Mrs. Which, Mrs. Whatsit, and Mrs. Who, respectively. Also sold individually, this 3pk of the common Pop! Vinyls was an exclusive to Barnes & Noble. I recently found it on clearance at a local store and decided to pick it up to review before gifting it to one of my little cousins who loved the movie.

In the movie, based off the book of the same name, three children go on an adventure through space, where these three astral travelers take them to different planets to help them save the young girl’s father and defeat a menacing evil. Along the way, they teach important lessons to the young children, and urge them to focus on the “light” of life, rather than the darkness.

While the movie was not my all time favorite live action movie that Disney put out in 2018, it was fun, family oriented, and did teach some valuable lessons. I also was not a fan of the book growing up, but I appreciated it in the same aspect at I do the film.

The sculpts of these three characters are done very well in regards to their clothing from the film. It’s also nice to see someone like Oprah Winfrey get a Pop! version of one of her roles, as seeing her roles in films like Beloved, The Color Purple, The Bee Movie, and Princess and the Frog wouldn’t lend themselves to Pop! Vinyls very well.

Overall, this is a fun set, and I think my little cousin will really like this as an addition to her ever-growing Pop! collection.
