Pop! Review: GameStop Exclusive Megavolt (w/ Chase)

For today’s review, I take a look at the fourth of five Funko Pop! Vinyls that were exclusive to GameStop for their Black Friday Mystery Box last year. Each of these five Pop! Vinyls came with a Chase variant, and all based off The Disney Afternoon. This release continued the Darkwing Duck line of Pop! Vinyls, and features one of my favorite villains from the series… Megavolt!

Unlike some of the other Chase pieces in this collection, Megavolt’s Chase is Glow in the Dark. Same sculpt, basically the same paint job. For that reason, this Chase I did not remove from packaging.

Part of The Fearsome Five, Megavolt is a giant rat who can control electricity, was the reason Drake Mallard created the Darkwing Duck persona, and is considered to be Darkwing’s biggest nemesis in the series. He is the most prominent villain of the series, appearing more than any other.

I love this Pop! Vinyl, and happy to add Megavolt to my collection. I am hoping that this leads Funko to create more of the Darkwing Duck villains, like Bushroot, Quackerjack, Steelbeak, and the Liquidator.
