Review: Mickey Exhibition 90th James Jean Vinyl Collection
Today, I take a look at a set of vinyl figures that I picked up while visiting the Mickey: The True Original Exhibition in NYC. Celebrating the 90th Anniversary of the debut of Mickey (and Minnie) Mouse, this collection is based off the beautiful sculpts of artist James Jean. Produced by the Good Smile Company, these six vinyls feature three colorway combinations of both Mickey and Minnie.
The original sculpts are white and feature Jean’s flowery take on the famous couple. Mickey has a butterfly perched on his arm, and Minnie a snail on her skirt.
The first colorway combination is Gold (Mickey) & Silver (Minnie). The butterfly and snail are opposing colors.
The next colorway is Blue (Mickey) & Pink (Minnie). Both the butterfly and snail are yellow.
The last colorway is Black (Mickey) & Red (Minnie). The butterfly and snail are both white.
These vinyls are blind packaged, so it’s up for grabs which one you get. However, if you purchased a sealed case of six, you got the entire set.
These vinyls are beautiful, and a perfect little celebration of Mickey and Minnie for their 90th Anniversary. James Jean’s artwork is perfection, and the Good Smile Company turned them into great little collectibles. Perfect addition to my Disney collection.
