LEGO Considering Possible Disney, Fox Designs
Since 2008, LEGO has allowed its wildly creative fans to propose new sets. If 10,000 people support your design, the plastic brick company considers making it an official product release. Earlier this month, 26 designs qualified for consideration, including five of interest to DisKingdom readers.
Mary Poppins, Cherry Tree Lane
Will this set go up to the highest heights? Proposed by the user Disneybrick55, this model of Cherry Tree Lane features three buildings, including Admiral Boom’s house. The Banks’ house even has the children’s bedroom, the living room, and a staircase inside.
Home Alone, McCallister house
This 3000-piece set is filled with furniture from the film, like a sled to go downstairs, rope and cans, ice cream in the fridge, and cheese pizza. (It was a Fox film, originally, but is now owned by Disney.)
Ratatouille: Open The Doors!
Visit Gusteau’s in LEGO form even received the endorsement of Brad Bird on Twitter, and has a free PDF “The Art of” book.
Indiana Jones Trilogy
A compact 650-pieces, this set would feature The Temple of Doom, The Well of Souls, and Temple of the Sun.
UCS Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
This 2000-piece set has folding wings, a picnic basket, and a four-cylinder engine under the hood.
Also being considered: a model of The Iron Giant, from the Warner Bros film The Iron Giant, directed by Brad Bird.
