Reboot in the Works for “Ready or Not”, 1990s Disney Channel Show
A reboot of the teen drama series Ready or Not is in development, according to its stars. The Canadian-produced series aired on Disney Channel from 1996 to 2000.
Entertainment Tonight Canada broke the news today during a chat with leads Laura Bertram and Lani Billard.
Host Roz Weston: In 2020, everything is being rebooted. If they came to you and said we want to do a sort of next generation and move Ready or Not forward, would you guys be into it?Lani Billard: Hell yeah.
Laura Betram: Oh yeah.
Weston: Where do you think that those two would be right now?
Betram: Oh, well, it’s kind of something that’s being developed right now, funny you should ask. But we would be on paths that would be ver
y divergent, that would come back, and much the same way that we did seen them part as young women, you see them as mature women coming back.
… We don’t obviously have anything concrete at the moment that we’ve been told from our
creator that we are at liberty to say
that it’s being worked on.Billard: Send the vibes, everybody.
The stars also talk about Ready or Not guest star Ryan Gosling, who had previously appeared on MMC, the 1990s reboot of The Mickey Mouse Club.
The original series is available to stream, legally, on YouTube channel Encore+. DisKingdom previously reported that Disney Channel series Under the Umbrella Tree and Danger Bay also are available on Encore+.

I grew up with the old episodes from the 90s and always enjoyed watching them several times. Unfortunately, the end of the series was sad. It is even sadder and incomprehensible that there is still no DVD release of all episodes. I’ll watch the reboot and hope it has the same charm as in the old series. I’m looking forward to it 🙂 Nice to see the two of them together again, certainly also exciting in which form the others join in or a connection is established.
