Watch: Video Offers Billy Joel-like take on Disney History

A former Disney Imagineer has released a catchy parody of Billy Joel’s “We Didn’t Start the Fire,” charting the history of Disney Parks internationally.

The lyrics veer rapidly throughout the years, from “golf ball” to “Kungaloosh” to “tiger in the boardroom,” looking in front of and behind the scenes at the ups and downs of the parks. Filmed partly in the parks, it’s a lively watch.

Sunday-Lefkowitz was a an intern at Walt Disney Imagineering from 2018 to 2019, and Creative Project Coordinator for WDI from 2019 to 2020, developing the story for Avengers Campus at Disneyland Paris. He wrote and performed for Pixel Playhouse, the once-dominant YouTube channel, and served as production assistant to Alan Menken and Lin-Manuel Miranda for The Hollywood Bowl concerts of The Little Mermaid and Encanto.
