Disney Lorcana To Launch In More Countries Across Asia In September 2025

Ravensburger has announced another massive expansion for its trading card game, “Disney Lorcana”, which will see the game being released in more regions across Asia from September 2025.

The game will launch in Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, and other markets will be able to purchase card packs featuring English language cards. The release of Disney Lorcana’s 9th set, called Fabled, will be in September 2025 in the markets listed above, coinciding with the worldwide release.

Elaine Chase, Chief Marketing Officer for TCGs at Ravensburger in Seattle, said in a statement:

“Disney Lorcana TCG is truly a global phenomenon, and this news reinforces that fact for fans all over the world.  We at Ravensburger are excited to welcome even more fans from Asia into the Lorcana community by making these beautiful cards more readily available to collect, play, and share in their local game stores.”

The official distributor for Disney Lorcana TCG in these markets in Asia, Saka Saka Ltd, is dedicated to creating a network of hobby stores throughout the region. Saka Saka added

“We are proud to bring Disney Lorcana to stores in the region – where Disney fans, players, and Illumineers meet. Through creativity, community, and a shared love for TCGs, we aim to deliver magical moments and unforgettable journeys to every game.”

For Disney Lorcana competitive play and events, Ravensburger and Saka Saka plan to help facilitate local tournaments to give Illumineers from Asia a path to the next World Championships similar to other markets.

Roger’s Take: With Lorcana launching into more regions, this is good for the overall game as it means it’s expanding out to a larger audience to become more popular.  I also think it makes sense for Ravensburger to skip over the first two years of releases, possibly releasing them at a later date.
