MCU Star Hailee Steinfeld to make Rare Convention Appearance

MCU’s Kate Bishop is making an extremely rare convention appearance, later this month. Hawkeye mini-series star Hailee Steinfeld was announced today as a guest at Fan Expo Canada, that country’s largest pop culture event.

Steinfeld is one of the most elusive convention guests. She appeared in San Diego Comic Con’s Hall H twice: for Ender’s Game (2013) and Bumblebee (2018). In-person promotion  for Hawkeye‘s 2021 release was stymied by the COVID-19 pandemic, which saw SDCC continue as an online-only event.

The Rostercon database lists her as appearing at San Antonio, Texas’ 2023 Superhero Comic Con, and the same city’s upcoming Spacecon. But otherwise, she really seems to have avoided the circuit to this point.

Autographs will cost $150 on an 8×10, or $200 on an item. Photo ops will run $150. Sales begin this Thursday at 10 am ET.

She will be in Toronto on Sunday only.

Steinfeld’s other roles include True Grit, for which she received an Academy Award nomination, and Gwen Stacy in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023). Her first live music performance was at the 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards.
