Nightmare Before Christmas Hearse Examined by Prop Culture Host
After The Nightmare Before Christmas wrapped production, many of its props went in the trash. One of the surviving items, a hearse, was auctioned by Disney at a Sotheby’s Animation Art auction in 1993, the year it was released. Its starting price was $2000.
One of the original series on Disney+ was Prop Culture, unfortunately removed from the service a few years ago. Its host Dan Lanigan now has a YouTube series, Cinema Relics, and on today’s new episode, he and his friends examine all the details of the creative sculpt. It’s a great look at the craftsmanship for the cult film.
