“it’s a small world” Figures of Marvel Characters Previewed: Only a Temporary Overlay

Back in March, Disney revealed that Tokyo Disneyland’s version of “it’s a small world” was getting a Marvel overlay. The new version will be known as “its a small world with Groot,” and debut this coming winter.

Just hours ago, behind the scenes footage of the Imagineers working on the new figures was released on YouTube. Characters revealed in the video are the Sam Wilson Captain America, Gamora and Mantis, Black Panther, Rocket, Thor, and Ant-Man and the Wasp.

The video caption reveals that this also is only a temporary overlay, from January 15 to June 30, 2025. Previous publicity made it sound like a permanent change to the attraction.
