Disney Release VR Video Featuring The Jungle Book

There has been lots of talk about Virtual Reality and Disney have released a 360-degree video teaser for its upcoming live action version of “The Jungle Book”.  The movie is called “Cold Lairs,” and has been released on the Samsung’s Milk VR app, which uses the Samsung Gear VR headsets, and will be coming to Facebook 360 soon and is expected to be released on other VR platforms next week as well.

This video allows the viewer to see the world from Mowgli’s point of view and meets King Louie and Baloo. The experience allows the viewer to look around 360 degrees and is the second VR video to promote the movie, as “Trust in Me,” was released as a 360-degree video on Facebook.

Earlier this week, Disney was announced as a investor in a VR company, Jaunt, and had registered Disney Movies VR.  Plus Lucasfilm recently showed off a new Star Wars VR experience.
