Mobile Gaming: Disney Princess Charmed Adventures Launched Today
Today, our friends over at Disney Interactive have released another Disney Mobile Gaming app… this one themed to the Disney Princess brand and those ever-popular charm bracelets. Here are the details on Disney Princess Charmed Adventures.

Mandy Moore, Jodi Benson and Anika Noni Rose bring Rapunzel, Ariel and Tiana to life in new adventure game
Today, Disney released Disney Princess: Charmed Adventures, an adventure-filled mobile game that inspires kids to dream big, just like some of their favorite Disney Princess characters — Ariel, Belle, Rapunzel and Tiana. Bringing some of these iconic characters to life in the game are the original voice talent from their respective films: Mandy Moore as Rapunzel (Tangled), Jodi Benson as Ariel (The Little Mermaid) and Anika Noni Rose as Tiana (The Princess and the Frog).
Developed for kids ages 6-8, Disney Princess: Charmed Adventures lets players embark on journeys as Ariel, Belle, Rapunzel or Tiana as they adventure beyond the castle walls, complete fun and engaging tasks, and earn beautiful charms to collect and customize their digital charm bracelets.
In the game, players will complete activities that reflect the unique and admirable inner qualities of each featured princess, such as painting wall murals as Rapunzel, performing music shows as Ariel, mastering book memory games as Belle, preparing delicious recipes as Tiana, and more.
Disney Princess: Charmed Adventures is available for free download with in-app purchases on the Apple App Store andGoogle Play Store. Some gameplay requires in-app purchases.
Our Take:
Seems like Disney Interactive and their partners are really pushing the mobile gaming. I can understand the beauty behind the decision, especially when there is very little overheard aside from development, with not having to produce game discs and “full experiences”, allowing for smaller games to be made and then expanded should the game be popular, like Disney Magical Kingdoms. That being said, as someone who has been trying to play a lot of Disney mobile games on my iPhone, I am starting to get burnt out with the sheer number of games and then updates that have come out just in the past few months. I personally will be passing on this one, but I know a lot of friends’ little princesses who will be wanting to play this one for sure… and since that’s their intended market, it will be at least a success through the rest of the year.
I also wanted to point out that this game features the voice work of Anika Noni Rose as Tiana. Prior to Disney Infinity announcing that it was shuttering, the actress posted on socail media that she was recording vocal for a new Disney video game. This led to a lot of speculation that Tiana was coming to Disney Infinity. However, now that this game is released, I feel that this was the game Rose was referring to. Moot point now that Disney Infinity is no more… merely an observation on my end.
