Vinylmation Vault – Urban Redux Series 1 Space Monkey

From the outer regions of Space located light-years deep into the vault this week we will take a look at one of my favorites from Urban Redux Series 1 the “Space Monkey”.,

Space monkey is the chaser from this series and is also several Super Chasers called “Helmetless Space Monkey”, which if I am correct hand drawn by the artist himself, but lets get back to the Chaser “Space Monkey” for now. The Urban Redux Series was an attempt to bring life back into the Urban Series where, to me, was for the mostly a huge miss in general. However, the Redux Series did have a few collectable Vinyls.

I think it is the cuteness of the Monkey that is gazing at the Moon in bewilderment. Though if you look closely the Moon is actually a Banana. Mmmmm Banana! Wait that is a Minion voice and not the Monkey but every time I look at the Banana Moon that’s what goes through my head.

Another feature I love is that if you turn around the head it will reveal the “Dark Side of the Moon” Green Monkey! Though this monkey has antennas on his head so perhaps he is a Martian Monkey.

One last thought on the “Space Monkey” is that he kind of looks like “Timmy” “Sean the Sheep and “Timmy Time! I added a picture for you so I will leave it up to you to see if there are any similarities.
