Disney Infinity See Sales Spike In Early 2015

According to a report from MCV in the UK, Disney Infinity has been one of the biggest accessory winners of 2015 so far, with all three Toys To Life franchises seeing major year-on-year growth.

According to the Data tracker GfK Chart-Track Disney Infinity is up by 56 per cent and 37 per cent in units and revenue respectively. One of the reasons why Infinity has done well is that it has been boosted by retail offers, including multi-buy promotions.

“Skylanders and Infinity are up year-to-date because of the launch of Skylanders Trap Team and Disney Infinity
2.0, both of which increased demand beyond their Q4 2014 launches,” said Chris Poole, senior account manager at Chart-Track.

This could be for a number of reasons, such as more character releases in early 2015 (Yondu, Green Goblin, Ronan, Jasmine, Loki and Falcon) compared to early 2014 (Sorcerer Mickey Mouse, Agent P and Phineas).

And with Disney Infinity 3.0 coming later this year, this doesn’t look like its going to be slowing down.
