Disney Park Packs – Arriving in Mailboxes!

The first of Disney’s new Park Packs, their answer to monthly subscription collectible boxes such as the ever popular Lootcrate has finally started to arrive in collectors hands today!

The first set of pins sold out the first day they went on sale, and the secondary market has seen growth even before the delivery of the pins. There was speculation that the first set would contain a Limited Edition Frozen pin, and that has come true in the form of a box shaped pin that features Anna, Elsa and Olaf. It resembles a frame with pin on pin, glitter and gem elements, and it makes for a very flashy, nice low edition pin – what else could collectors ask for?

While technically the pin is an LE 500, it comes in 4 color varieties. (Seen so far are purple and blue) Each of the four pins has a different colored border, but otherwise are identical, making the pin truly an LE 2000, with four color varieties. Should be fun for completists to attempt to complete all four colors!

The other two pins that come in the box are open edition pins that will be sold in parks eventually. While it is cool to get them early, these are not exclusive. The two pins in this month’s box are a Minnie’s Bow with an American Flag design (including a nice glitter element) and Dopey with gems for eyes, both nicer-than-average rack pins.

The pins come in a nice box that could easily double as storage. We’re interested to see how Park Pack grows, and if successful, if Disney will offer additional monthly boxes for other merchandise.
