Uncle Scrooge #4 Review

Issue 4 of Uncle Scrooge features 3 stories, part 1 of the “The Grand Canyon Conquest,” “Belle Corners the Coin Collection” and “Going Places”. There are a few different variant covers for this edition including a Legacy Fantasyland version featuring Uncle Scrooge and his nephews going on a cruise within “It’s A Small World”.

The first story also includes Donald Duck and his nephews trying to help Scrooge from losing half his fortune in an amusing story that sees them heading to Disneyland to track down some crooks with a quick ride in the Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean and It’s A Small World. This is the main story of the comic and is very enjoyable due to the inclusion of Disneyland.

The other a small story, “Belle Corners The Coin Collection” which sees an old flame of Scrooge to come back and causes problems, aka Scrooge spending money! And there is a single page short featuring Donald Duck that is a quick blast.

Overall having 3 different stories is perfect for Disney comics, one longer story with an arc plus a smaller single story and finally a single one shot that will keep smaller readers content but this is a great all round comic for all ages, especially for Disney fans. These comics are a great way of introducing these classic Disney characters to a young audience and enough there to keep die hard fans interested and a nice rewind to those Saturday morning cartoons.

Issue 4 will be in stores on the 22nd July and is priced at $3.99.
