Details On The Latest Kingdom Hearts 2.9 & 3 Rumours

A Square Enix game designer from Osaka, Japan may have revealed some details on some upcoming Kingdom Hearts titles, some details have been added to their public LinkedIn page saying that they had worked at Square Enix from August to June 2015 and had been working on Kingdom Hearts 2.9 and Kingdom Hearts 3.

This information should be taken as merely rumour at the moment and many gaming sites like IGN have reached out to Square Enix for information, to be told they don’t speculate on rumours.    According to reports, the LinkedIn profile is linked to other developers profiles who have been working on the game.

Ever since the Kingdom Hearts Remix 1.5 & 2.5 collections were released on the PS3, there have been rumours of a collection of classic Kingdom Hearts games coming to the PS4 and a it would make sense to reissue a master collection ahead of Kingdom Hearts 3 for new players and for older players to re-experience the game.  It could also be a small prologue stand alone game such as Metal Gear Solid – Ground Zeroes, to get people excited for Kingdom Hearts 3.

This isn’t the first time Kingdom Hearts 2.9 has been mentioned, it originally appeared on an official Square Enix Presents schedule screen at E3 but was removed.    Square Enix will be making a presentation at the upcoming Tokyo Games Show later this month, so it could be interesting to see if more on 2.9 is announced at the show.

Also Kingdom Hearts 3 has had information shared at both E3 and the D23 Expo already this year, with more information set to be announced at the D23 Expo in Japan in November but some details for this game were also included in the LinkedIn profile.    In this profile, it says there will be a Pixar element to the game and a Gummi Ship.
