Holiday ’15 Gift Guide: Inside Out Plush by TOMY

As we are less than 100 days till Christmas, here is a look at what is to be another hit this season with kids for the holidays: the Inside Out plush from TOMY.

TOMY has partnered this year with Disney and Pixar to bring some great toys from Inside Out, Miles from Tomorrowland and the upcoming The Good Dinosaur. Previously, I have taken a brief look at some of these items at Toy Fair, Blogger Bash, and D23. However, here is a close up look at a few of the Inside Out plush. First up, is Joy and Sadness.

TOMY does not disappoint on both the likeness of these two characters and the quality of fabrication on them. They are really of a great quality design, quite soft, and each of them comes with a selection of five different sayings directly from the Pixar movie.

 

Joy’s Sayings:

~ “Another perfect day!”

~ “I’ve got a great idea!”

~ “Haha! We’ve made it!”

~ “Be positive.”

 

Sadness’ Sayings:

~ “I’m Sadness.”

~ “I don’t think that’ll work.”

~ “That’s sad.”

~ “We shouldn’t go in there. That’s a bad idea.”

~ “Find the fun… I don’t know how to do that.”

In addition to Joy and Sadness, Riley’s other emotions in the movie (Fear, Disgust, and Anger) are also being sold. Here is the official description from TOMY:

Now here is a look at what I feel might be one of the biggest hits for the 2015 holiday season… the “I Cry Candy” Bing Bong Plush.

 

I don’t know about you, but when I saw Inside Out, the stand out character for me was Bing Bong (voiced by the extremely talented Richard Kind). Part cat, part elephant, part dolphin… and part cotton candy with a nougat-y center… Bing Bong is one of Riley’s childhood imaginary friends who is worried about being forgotten. However, with this deluxe plush, I don’t think anyone can forget Bing Bong. It’s very impossible to photograph, but he smells like cotton candy!

I addition to that, he also “cries” candy tears. Also somewhat hard to photograph, especially when you are trying to squeeze him to get the crying to work and trying to snap a photo (the candy “floats” behind the pupils inside the eyes).

Like the emotions plush, Bing Bong also has a set of sayings, seven in all:

~ “I’m part cat, part elephant, part dolphin…”

~ “I look like a lot of people.”

~ “I go in here all the time! It’s a shortcut, you see?”

~ “Look at my hat! How am I supposed to wear this?”

~ *Dolphin Squeal*

~ *Bing Bong’s Song*

~ “I cry candy!” *Cries*

Any of these three plush, in addition to the other emotions not featured here, are already on store shelves and proving to be a popular hit. I personally have not seen an Anger plush on the shelves, and the deluxe Bing Bong plush is hard to come by, even with his higher price point. I have no doubt that these plush will be harder to find closer to Christmas, so get them now while you can for the holidays.
